Between The Posts

Between The Posts is a podcast that is mainly focused on sports, even more concentrated on The University of Tennessee’s athletics.

This episode includes three  interviews from a worker’s perspective, a fan’s perspective, and a player’s perspective on Tennessee’s upcoming baseball season. After the 2017 season in which Tennessee went 27-25 in the regular season but tabbing a 7-21 conference record, that in and of itself was enough reason for some much needed culture change around the Tennessee baseball team. This resulted in the firing and hiring of a new coaching staff, the interest and excitement levels are high for the 2018 BaseVol team.

New Head Coach Tony Vitello, 38, has spent the past four years as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Arkansas. Vitello has worked with 12 NCAA Tournament appearing teams in his 15 years of coaching. Vitello is considered one of the top recruiters in the nation for college baseball.

This episode features Benito Santiago, four year starting catcher for the University of Tennessee on the air to talk about his opinion on the new coaching staff and what he and his team can improve on this season.
